<br />
Since it's humble beginnings in 2012, this blog has very much been a 'just for fun' project. I have always loved writing on the web (since the days of AsianAvenue, Xanga, LiveJournal, MySpace, et al.). Blogger was just another place I decided to come and start something new, and at that specific time in 2012 my interests were heavily in personal style and all things "dandy". Of course, unlike my previous online writing ventures, The Little Dandy lasted for quite some time and took me on some unexpected and exciting adventures in the world of Fashion and Media in Toronto. I've had the joy of experiencing some things that I'd never thought I'd ever do in my lifetime as a young adult. My most notable experience will always be the fun project with <a href="http://www.thelittledandy.com/2014/06/biothermxfashion-is-skincare-new-makeup.html" target="_blank">Biotherm Canada and Fashion Magazine</a>.<br />
<br />
Like I said, when I started this blog it was very much 'just for fun'. At the time, I was young, unemployed, and I had no direction in terms of a career. I thought, "oh, what fun it would be to style looks and post pictures online to share with fellow internet fashion-geeks". No planning went into The Little Dandy. Had I known of the true power of blogging and the internet back then, I would've made sure I had implemented some sort of business objectives for The Little Dandy. I would've planned my content better, and I would've set traffic goals and carefully selected keywords to optimize my content. But no, none of that was thought out. As my blog started to grow, I started to realize all of the things I hadn't done to plan for its success, and this started to discourage me. Of course, I could've always gone back and implemented an SEO strategy, put together an editorial calendar, and kept a close eye on my Google Analytics. However, when it came down to deciding on whether or not I wanted to put in all that work, I thought to myself: what's the point? What is the point in optimizing my content? Is anyone even finding my content helpful or useful in any way? What makes my content so special compared to everyone else's? Everyone and their mothers have a style blog, and it's the same ol' stuff. The formula doesn't change: Catchy blog post title + handful of photos of "the look" + outfit details by brand + quick blurb and a cheeky "love ya, thanks for reading!". Is this the type of content I wanted to commit to creating long-term?<br />
<br />
Then came this realization: style blogs, if not at all helpful, are glorified show & tell platforms. The more I came to realize this, the less I wanted to be part of it. Further, after watching a documentary called '<a href="http://truecostmovie.com/" target="_blank">The True Cost</a>' I decided that I no longer wanted to support this thing called 'fast fashion'. Style blogs that focus on affordable fashion <i>trends</i> (i.e. The Little Dandy) were just adding fuel to the fire of the economic and social crisis created by 'fast fashion', and I found myself disgusted and ridden with guilt for having contributed to this problem. I no longer support 'fast fashion', and I definitely encourage everyone to watch '<a href="http://truecostmovie.com/" target="_blank">The True Cost</a>' <i>now</i>.<br />
<br />
Now that I'm older and wiser, I know what I want. I know what I like, I know what I believe in, and I know what I want to represent. I'm not a 24 year old floral-obsessed "little dandy" anymore. Growth is normal. Everyone evolves. Maybe this is just me finally morphing into a level-headed adult, or maybe this is just me starting another blog that simply reflects where I'm at in life. Whatever the case, The Little Dandy no longer feels like "me", and I'm ready to move on to my next project. I know that I don't want to leave the blogging world, and I certainly don't want to leave the style niche. Personal style will always be a large part of me, and fashion will always be a world I love. However, I know that if I want to do it <i>right</i> I have to do it <i>differently</i> and I have to have a <i>plan</i>.<br />
<br />
Around the 3 year anniversary of 'The Little Dandy' I decided I was finally ready to start something new. There were many sleepless nights where I would lie awake and think of new ideas, and cheeky blog names and post titles. There were hours where I would scribble endless ideas and plans at my desk on topics that I could write about that would actually be helpful to others - to people just like me. I don't want to give it all away, but I hope you'll continue to follow me on my internet-writing journey. Until then...<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
Early in January, I decided to join a book club. Yes, I - joined - a - book - club. If you know me, you know that I rarely read anything that has a cover. I've long since become one of those lazy-readers. My daily reads include short soundbites of news on Social Media and work emails. I'm terrible.<br />
<div>
In an effort to become an over-all better human being in 2015, I thought it was due time to start nourishing my brain and soul with a good ol' book (or 12).</div>
<div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a></div>
<div>
I joined <a href="http://sarahohm.com/2015/01/sarahohm-com-january-blogger-book-club-link-up/" target="_blank">Sarah Ohm's Blogger Book Club</a>, so if you're interested, definitely check it out! Just a bunch of cool blogger gals reading books and talking on the internetzz!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The theme for January was to read a "motivational" book. I'll admit that I feel like I kind of cheated with my book of choice, but to be fair it WAS on Amazon's list for motivation picks! So it still counts, right??</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNSskywldvYyL0v3_JY0w8wFZR-RhDDiERDzIpkFeDms5O3etnEca990F3iFC2_Pl6LOB6Ru4Q2pjcKEYfFEudiRhhbLzCqaIF_xC18VlYOsUQFhdhBUKlkrbrY8mJmF6rOGQjWQgfPK4/s1600/HowToBeParisian2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNSskywldvYyL0v3_JY0w8wFZR-RhDDiERDzIpkFeDms5O3etnEca990F3iFC2_Pl6LOB6Ru4Q2pjcKEYfFEudiRhhbLzCqaIF_xC18VlYOsUQFhdhBUKlkrbrY8mJmF6rOGQjWQgfPK4/s1600/HowToBeParisian2.jpg" height="610" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Who doesn't love Paris? No - like, actually? Anything and everything Parisian is so frickin' lovely that I couldn't resist not reading <i>How to Be Parisian Wherever You Are</i> by Anne Berest, Audrey Diwan, Caroline de Maigret, and Sophie Mas. This book has become my bible. I will admit, it was a bit of an 'easy read' what with its beautiful photos of french-everything, but it has definitely motivated me to become more "Parisian" in a way. The book tastefully touches on how you can inject a little bit of Paris chic into every aspect of your life. The way you dress, the way you eat, the way you speak, the way you love - I could go on.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The book begins with a page of Parisian Aphorisms that felt like a wise old french lady was finally showing me the light and opening my eyes to the real world of being a 'lady'. Here are some of my favourites:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i>"Don't be afraid of aging. As the saying goes, don't be afraid of anything but fear itself."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i>"Find 'your' perfume before you turn thirty. Wear it for the next thirty years."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i>"Go to the theatre, to museums, and go to concerts as often as possible: it gives you a healthy glow."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i>"Make it look easy. Everything you do should seem effortless and graceful."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i>"Not too much makeup, too many colours, too many accessories…"</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i>"Your look should always have one thing left undone - the devil is in the details."</i></div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
As someone who has been embarking on a quest to purge my belongings and really streamline and curate my closet to only involve classic pieces, I was drinking the book up when I was reading the sections on "What You Won't Find in Her Closet" ("Sweatpants…leggings are tolerated."...amen!) and "Virtues of a Signature Item"("All you need is one signature item: the one you wear when you need to feel strong.")</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi91xmpRZxQnrR-GJqLmqh3alB8QClYlHt2cT5ifBtaK3dJ0RQD_nWjTP3G27k4xhoYSB3lXTv3NNvFvhyphenhyphenKfRWjlK1OM9ciAkGElicyKMnZ754QdZCNcOagu9FN1d86O1kRCtmLhOT6shk/s1600/HowToBeParisian4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi91xmpRZxQnrR-GJqLmqh3alB8QClYlHt2cT5ifBtaK3dJ0RQD_nWjTP3G27k4xhoYSB3lXTv3NNvFvhyphenhyphenKfRWjlK1OM9ciAkGElicyKMnZ754QdZCNcOagu9FN1d86O1kRCtmLhOT6shk/s1600/HowToBeParisian4.jpg" height="610" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I literally could not put this book DOWN - it went from style to discussing beauty to laying out some major faux pas. And, of course, I can't go without mentioning some of these hilarious "Parisian Snobbisms":</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i>"Never pass the salt directly - place it on the table first for the other person to pick up."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i>"When meeting someone for the first time, never say 'what a pleasure,', but rather 'what a pleasure to meet you.' (You never know what the future might hold)."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i>"Don't follow trends. (Trends follow you)."</i></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The book goes on to share style essentials, how to spend a day in Paris, girl friends, love, aging, and of course ends with "Parisian Tips" including recipes and films to watch.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhL7oV7qvHg5K1XR4Xyk3aWcLy923ogF7yApbIPYASbowVO2umZSyWDnMm8FhZo1nHWvPaki8U6LDyNh0koSJdHDo17isQyP8kBDN6CtQRwbU6-USOrh0fQeNnSC4gFKl9KWyyWlxsCKp4/s1600/HowToBeParisian5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhL7oV7qvHg5K1XR4Xyk3aWcLy923ogF7yApbIPYASbowVO2umZSyWDnMm8FhZo1nHWvPaki8U6LDyNh0koSJdHDo17isQyP8kBDN6CtQRwbU6-USOrh0fQeNnSC4gFKl9KWyyWlxsCKp4/s1600/HowToBeParisian5.jpg" height="610" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Overall, I really enjoyed this read and I'll probably read it again sometime. It's going to become one of those fun books to leave on my coffee table for when girlfriends come over for wine and a chat. After reading "How to Be Parisian Wherever You Are", I feel somewhat wiser - but a different kind of wise. Not the book-smart wise, but the style-smart elegant kind of wise.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I'm going to leave you guys with my favourite excerpt from the book. I hope you guys decide to give this book a chance!</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i>"Take the time to talk to the elderly lady next door, to read a book, to walk to work instead of riding the subway when it's a beautiful day. Take the time to escape for a weekend with friends.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><i>Take the time to listen and to get to know yourself. Take the time to change, to grow, to rest. Take the time to say yes, take the time to say no. Take the time to be quiet. Take the time to look after your body, to eat well. Take the time to ask yourself who you are and what you want.</i></i></div>
<i>
</i>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><i>Call your grandmother on her birthday and rinse your hair with cold water just like she taught you, listen to your children, breathe deeply, take the time to make fresh-squeezed orange juice for breakfast, to go to a museum, to go for a stroll in the woods and listen to the sounds of tiny creatures in the grass. In summer, take the time to compile a scrapbook of pressed flowers with a child, to read him a story.</i></i></div>
<i>
</i>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><i>Take the time to take time because nobody else will do it for you. </i></i></div>
<i>
</i>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><i>And don't forget to daydream in the bath, just like when you were little."</i></i></div>
<i>

<br />
I recently read somewhere that how you treat your environment around you is a reflection of how you treat the people that you surround yourself with. If you have a pile of crap that you hang on to but don't need, chances are you have an abundance of people in your life that do not benefit you in any way, yet you'll still keep in contact with them for no particular reason. In recent years, I've noticed myself pulling away from people like this because, to be quite honest, why surround yourself with people who do not have a genuine interest in you, or that do not have a positive impact on your life? I forget who it was that said this, but "I would rather have four quarters than a hundred pennies" - wouldn't you? I've found that applying this logical thought to my own life has incredibly increased my level of happiness. The people that I <i>do</i> surround myself with are people that I genuinely enjoy the company of. They are people that I can have real conversations with, be myself with, and laugh and cry with.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
Ever since <i>really</i> living this way when it comes to people, I've found myself with a deep need to further 'cleanse' my life and declutter the space around me. There's nothing worse than coming home to a messy room - it immediately affects your mood; if you've had a bad day, it will make it worse, and if you've had a great day it can quickly go downhill. So, this is where I am; in the midst of decluttering the space around me. I am calling this process 'The Purge', and everything has to <i>go</i>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZwzsyoCxgRXD6dGLa8jDPsXbWKa8YQmYLgGGN64xUIRHsGcT0CFzUoP7jatB4dttFLyTOqrrdOYzUgTEczQlzIdm_vB7IslDcMUgUZ71J3hBFHcabr_H84amaa_oN5AYeJB6r8Ech5dw/s1600/Declutter+Closet2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZwzsyoCxgRXD6dGLa8jDPsXbWKa8YQmYLgGGN64xUIRHsGcT0CFzUoP7jatB4dttFLyTOqrrdOYzUgTEczQlzIdm_vB7IslDcMUgUZ71J3hBFHcabr_H84amaa_oN5AYeJB6r8Ech5dw/s1600/Declutter+Closet2.png" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
When you have an excess amount of <i>crap</i>, starting the process of purging your belongings can be intimidating. Where does one start? ANYWHERE. For me, I knew I had to start with my closets. I am a creature of habit, and once I find a style or piece that I like, I will wear it to DEATH. I knew that about 70% of my closet was going untouched, so for me it was really a simple "don't wear it, don't keep it" process. If you're unlike me and feel like you wear EVERYTHING, it might be wise to first start with a basic rule: Depending on the size of your closet, take some time to determine how many plastic or wooden hangers fit comfortably across with room for your pieces to breath. It could be 20; it could be 40. Commit to this number of hangers and start making your cuts from there. Here are some quick tips to help you just let go:<br />
<ul>
<li>If you haven't worn it in the last 3 months or in the last appropriate season - it has to go.</li>
<li>Try it on: if it doesn't make you look like the super-model version of yourself - it has to go.</li>
<li>If it's damaged beyond repair, it's time to lay it to rest in peace.</li>
</ul>
So far, on my journey of purging, I've only conquered my closet, my dresser, and my shoe & coat closet. I know there is a whole world of tchotchkes out there in my living room and kitchen just waiting to get the boot. In the meantime, looking into a spacious and uncluttered clothing situation is like a breath of clean fresh air. The pieces I've decided to keep I'll <i>actually</i> wear and get use out of. <br />
<br />
I think a closet purge is a healthy ritual to do at <i>LEAST</i> once a year. I'm planning on doing another one once the summer season roles around because I'm bound to have fallen out of love of some old summer trends. Hope some of you found this post helpful, or at least interesting. Enjoy the rest of your weeks and stay warm!<br />

Back in November, my entire family took a trip to Seoul, South Korea because my sister was getting married there. Obviously, I did some shopping because one does not simply fly half-way across the world and buy nothing, haha! Although Korean makeup has become a huge trend in the beauty world, I didn't splurge on mountains of products because I, myself, am not a make-up junkie. However, I do have a love affair with skincare & lash products (and a very huge love-hate relationship with my own skin - damn you blemishes and blackheads!)</div>

<b>1. Too Cool for School Takozza Cleansing Tissue</b></div>
<div>
I picked up a tube of <a href="http://www.toocoolforschool.com/shop/goods/goods_view.php?category=017&goodsno=14110117" target="_blank">Takozza Cleansing Tissues</a> from the cuuuuuutest cosmetic boutique I have EVER seen. Literally. Everything in <a href="http://www.toocoolforschool.com/shop/main/index.php" target="_blank">Too Cool for School</a> has the COOLEST packaging. I picked up these wipes for two reasons: 1. I had just run out of the wipes I had brought to Korea with me (I usually prefer the Balea 3-in-1 cleansing wipes from Shoppers Drug Mart), and 2. I was drawn to the packaging which conveniently dispenses the wipes like a tube of Lysol wipes! I was also sold on these wipes because they remove waterproof makeup which is always a key factor for me when considering new cleansers bc I'm such a sucker waterproof mascaras with a strong hold. After using these wipes for just over a month or so (and the tube is running low), I've gathered a mental note of pros and cons about the product…</div>
<div>
Pros: Convenient dispenser, removes makeup effectively, doesn't make me breakout, removes KOREAN waterproof mascara very easily, and super convenient to grab for at the end of the day when you're too lazy to wash your face.</div>
<div>
Cons: The tube leaks so bringing it along on trips is always a mess, does not easily remove stubborn north-american brand water-proof mascaras.</div>
<div>
I don't think I'll be trying to get my hands on them again, and not just because they are not available overseas. These wipes set me back about 12,000won (about $12) and, I can usually score the <a href="http://www1.shoppersdrugmart.ca/en/Beauty-And-Body/Brands/Balea/Collections/Skin-Care.aspx" target="_blank">Shoppers Drug Mart Balea </a>wipes as a 2 for 1 package for $9.99.</div>

<div>
<b>2. Mamonde Rose Water Toner</b></div>
<div>
I am an absolute sucker for rose water. I don't know if it's just because it has a very pretty ring to it, or if it actually does help my skin. My favourite toner of all time has been the<a href="http://www.thayers.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=14&zenid=q9l9ap4g3446kkabhk3kco7vg1" target="_blank"> Thayer's Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner</a>. It had a very calming effect on my skin, and I loved how it just felt like I was actually putting a very gentle, neutral, cleansing, and cooling product on my skin. I always have trouble getting my hands on Thayer's toners because they don't sell them in drug stores in my city, and the shipping cost is ridiculous to purchase online, so I was thrilled when I came across this <a href="http://www.shopatkorea.com/toner-mamonde/?sort=newest" target="_blank">Mamonde Rose Water daily skin toner</a>. They say that Rose Water has a very soothing and anti-inflammatory effect on the skin, which I always need as I seem to always have a blemish or two hanging around. Using this seems to even out my skin tone and keep the moisture balance in check. If I can get my hands on more of this stuff, I definitely will!</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>3. Too Cool for School McGirly Rice Scrub</b></div>
<div>
This stuff is the holy grail of all scrubs. I swear. Unlike other scrubs and exfoliants I've tried in the past, this stuff ACTUALLY removes a layer of dead pallid skin off of your face and leaves your face looking looking bright and new, and as soft as a baby's butt! You know when you use a rubber eraser to erase a mistake off of a piece of paper? And then little rolls of rubber accumulate? THAT is exactly what this scrub does except the paper is your face and the rolls of rubber are pieces of dead skin. BOOM. Mind blown yet? I tried a sample of the <a href="http://www.toocoolforschool.com/shop/goods/goods_view.php?category=017&goodsno=14110103" target="_blank">McGirly Rice Scrub</a> prior to buying the full size, and I was blown away! After you've scrubbed off all the dead skin particles and rinse it all away, your left with a fresh and radiant surface of skin. It's crazy. It's amazing. I can't say any more. </div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>4. ENPRANI Supermax x2 Moisture Mist</b></div>
<div>
I'm obsessed with face mist. There's just something about spraying some fancy water on your face that is very pampering and luxurious haha. I've tried many face mists before, and I find that the ones that I love best are the ones that have a good spray nozzle on them. Of course, they need to have a pleasant smell and not irritate my skin in any way. This Enprani Supermax Moisture Mist is a korean drugstore brand. So far, I have nothing negative to say about it. The spray nozzle is perfect and each spritz covers a generous and even area of your face, and I love that the size is small enough to keep in my on-the-go makeup bag.</div>

<div>
<b>5. MISSHA Eyelash Curler</b></div>
<div>
This decent eyelash curler only set me back about $4, and I love that it's gold! I will say that it's not as good as a Tweezerman, but it still gets the job done. I find that it is very wide, but this may just be an issue for me because obviously asians have smaller eye holes…Overall, a good buy for $4! You can buy it <a href="http://missha.ca/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2243&products_id=4629" target="_blank">here</a> (unfortunately the retail price is higher than actually purchasing in Korea).</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>6. MISSHA 3D Mascara</b></div>
<div>
This is the cheapest water-proof mascara that MISSHA carries, and I think it only set me back about $3.60 or so (3,600won). I love the brush on it - it's long and thin, and does a good job coating my lashes. My only disappointment is that it doesn't hold the curl as well as other water-proof mascaras I've tried. I find that minutes after I apply, my lashes have already "fallen" a little bit. Will not repurchase. If you're interested, you can find the MISSHA 3D Mascara <a href="http://missha.ca/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2238_2292_2297&products_id=4140" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>7. MISSHA Skinny Mascara</b></div>
<div>
My sister was raving about this product, so I had to try it. I don't think the formula is that much different from the 3D mascara, as it seems to have the same effect in terms of coating and hold. However, I DO love how skinny the brush is - perfect for getting every little lash (including tiny bottom lashes!). The biggest fail with this mascara is that it doesn't give your lashes any volume, so your lashes end up looking kind of like long, sparse, spider legs…will not repurchase. If you're interested, you can find the MISSHA skinny mascara <a href="http://missha.ca/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2238_2292_2297&products_id=4723" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>

<b>8. <a href="http://www.cnccanada.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=652" target="_blank">Tony Moly Peach Lip Balm</a></b></div>
<div>
This stuff smells like peach heaven! There are no cheap thrills here. Not only does the balm itself smell SO good, but it's actually moisturizing and not sickeningly sweet. I hate buying lip balms that leave a sugary texture on your lips - ew. The texture of this stuff is just a good plain ol' moisturizing soft balm - similar to the texture of Vaseline. Love! </div>

<b>1. Budget: Spend & Save Wisely</b><br />
Recently, I've become super obsessed with money. No, not in the sickening way (but lezbehonest, everyone's a little obsessed with money, right?), but more so in a meticulous and obsessive-compulsive way. I knew that I'd been spending WAY more money on useless crap than I needed to be, so I decided to look at my online debit statements to see what I had spent money on for every month of 2014. In 2014, I had spent more than $5k on eating out (i.e.: McDonalds, Starbucks, etc.) and useless CRAP (i.e.: costume jewelry pieces I never wear, $10 shoes I've worn once, clothing I hate, etc). This $5k spend was EXCLUDING money that I had spent on necessities like groceries, travel, and gifts. This was literally five-thousand-dollars that I threw to the blowing wind. Ouch. Imagine what I could've done with that money (my inner girl that longs for a Chanel is weeping). Needless to say, since this eye-opening realization of my careless spending, I have decided to stick to a budget, save, and pay off some debt ASAP. Life! Goals!<br />
<br />
<b>2. Get My Driver's License.</b><br />
This one is just embarassing, so I'm just going to leave it at that. FML.<br />
<br />
<b>3. Save Money for a 'Nest Egg'</b><br />
This year will probably be a year that I'll need to dish out a lot of cash. I have a destination wedding to travel to, 1 wedding to attend, 1 wedding that I am a part of, and my own wedding to plan! Oy vey! I am bleeding through the eyes in money signs right now! In addition to the very "mature" saving habits I have (I do make monthly contributions to my RRSP and TFSAs), I've always wanted to also start a nice little nest egg. Kind of like a bounty of money for a rainy day in the future. Who knows. I just feel more secure knowing I have money saved up somewhere. Time to save, save, save!<br />
<br />
<b>4. The Purge!</b><br />
I've actually already started to do this. I'm cleaning out my entire stock of belongings and getting rid of anything/everything I do not need or use. I've already got a huge pile of "crap" that I need to get rid of. (I'll be uploading A LOT of clothing, bags, and shoes to my TrendTrunk closet soon!). I've been longing for a sense of clarity and simplicity, and I think that clearing out the clutter around me will be a big help!<br />
<br />
<b>5. Apartment Therapy</b><br />
This kind of ties in with the above. I'd like to put more effort into the decor around my apartment. Surrounding yourself with the things you like will make you happy :).<br />
<br />
<b>6. Blog!</b><br />
I've been brainstorming like CRAZAY for a while now, and yes. My blogging game is back ON. I'm going to try to commit to blogging 2-3 times a week to start, and hopefully I'll be able to stick to it!<br />
<br />
<b>7. Vlog!</b><br />
I've attempted YouTube a few times in the past. The trouble with video is…well it takes so damn long to edit! But, again, I've been brainstorming like crazy and I'm ready to bring my A-Game to the world of video. I'll be trying to upload 1-2 videos a week to start. I've got some wild ideas for themed videos, but more on that later…!<br />
<br />
<b>8. Update my Etsy shop!</b><br />
I sell crocheted and other handmade wearables and accessories on my Etsy shop. Unfortunately, for the majority of 2014 it started to collect dust. Time to revive and make some extra cash on the side!<br />
<br />
<b>9. Be Healthy, Fit & Happy!</b><br />
Self explanatory, but Blogilates here I come!!<br />

Not sure why it took me so long to write this post. Somewhere between working a full-time job, looking for a new job, and crafting on the side (I have a flea market coming up), I found it difficult to find the time to break this news to you all: I'M ENGAGED!!<br />

Back in June, my boyfriend (now fiance) and I took our first-ever trip to Paris - it was divine!! It was the first time in Europe for both of us, so we were really blown away by the beautiful-everything! Not going to lie, coming back to the concrete jungle of Toronto was pretty depressing for a while. <br />
<br />
Ryan and I visited most of the notable sites in Paris, including the beautiful Palace de Versailles where he proposed! It was completely magical and I blubbered like a baby with tears of happiness (I'm such a soft-y sometimes!). And I must say, he did VERY well with the ring! He took the liberty to creep my Pinterest board to see exactly what I liked and wanted - whata guy! It's a custom-made hexagon halo diamond engagement ring with the perfect amount of art deco flair and a vintage edge. Love! I am over the moon with love and excitement for what's to come!<br />
<br />
I don't want to bore you all with all of the details from the trip, but you can get the gist of it from the photos of video diaries below! We had an amazing trip, and would love to visit Paris again some time!<br />

<br />
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: <a href="http://www.thelittledandy.com/2013/06/obsessed-nail-wraps.html" target="_blank">I LOVE NAIL WRAPS</a>. Whoever came up with the idea of sticking nail-shaped stickers on your nails is a pure genius. As a self-proclaimed lazy-girl that lacks any sort of dexterity, nail wraps are a serious god send. Why? No. Fuss. Srsly, doe! The simple peel n' stick process is bafflingly simple. Waiting around for polish to dry? Holding your pee so you don't ruin your nails? That nonsense is old-frickin-news now! <br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7328/14151460056_bc3ae4e4f9_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Toronto Style Blog" border="0" height="480" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7328/14151460056_bc3ae4e4f9_o.jpg" title="" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I was pretty excited when <a href="http://www.nailpolishcanada.com/categories/ncla/nail-wraps.html" target="_blank">Nail Polish Canada</a> offered to send me some NCLA transparent nail wraps to try out! I've been using NCLA nail wraps for a while now and have been loving them, so I knew that the chances were slim that their new transparent line would disappoint. <br />
<br />
<a href="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5496/14151511626_7994bf3124_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5496/14151511626_7994bf3124_o.jpg" width="640" /></a>I love that the new transparent wraps give you more versatility; you can wear them alone for a quirky minimalist look, or over a fresh mani. I also love how the transparent wraps are a lot thinner than the opaque ones, which give your nails a more airbrushed or 'painted-on' look. Believe me, you don't even want to know how many ladies stopped me at the grocery store about my nails lol.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7438/14174736104_bd9c5cab93_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7438/14174736104_bd9c5cab93_o.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

Now before I go on, let me assure you: I am a completely NORMAL person. There is nothing special about me. I am in no way notable or important in any "scene" in Toronto. I am just a regular 20-something Torontonian that works the daily 9 to 5 grind at a digital marketing agency in the downtown core of Toronto (typical..). <br />
<br />
I'm sure I'm not the only one that's been curious as to "what types of people" attend these things. Now, don't get me wrong I DID have some sort of an idea from my experience volunteering (back then it was called L'Oreal Fashion Week) at Toronto Fashion Week back in 2010, and even then I wondered who all these fancy people were. Last Fall, my sister bought tickets for us to go see Mackage and Joe Fresh, and let me tell you: STANDING in the very back is not at all glamorous OR worth a $50 ticket. <br />
<br />
Anyway, I had the serious pleasure of being invited to attend 3 shows during the FW2014 WMC Fashion Week: Line Knitwear, gsus, and Farley Chatto. The reality of being invited as a designer guest at WMC Fashion Week is that your seat will still be first-come-first-serve. Designer guests have the 4th to 8th rows in a lettered section, and sometimes designers invite more guests than seats. I was lucky enough to sit 4th row for gsus and Fareley Chatto, but sadly I was standing in the back for Line Knitwear. I salvaged what I could of taking zoomed-in iPhone photos in the dark lol. Details below!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPShZ31mg9pM7mbis1JIbL_OJN0RctJfWhyphenhyphene4Y3j6-lB9Dp4eeikneib2DY5vV7IRauJBArg56nBXmmXXpvLY0bMgXihyphenhyphenFmco8_8cLQYafDLnstpztJOcP6yWYEoqdrNPtv13ditcB934/s1600/photo+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPShZ31mg9pM7mbis1JIbL_OJN0RctJfWhyphenhyphene4Y3j6-lB9Dp4eeikneib2DY5vV7IRauJBArg56nBXmmXXpvLY0bMgXihyphenhyphenFmco8_8cLQYafDLnstpztJOcP6yWYEoqdrNPtv13ditcB934/s1600/photo+1.JPG" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
This was my favourite look for the entire Line Knitwear show. It is perfect. The smokey grey/black monochrome, the silhouette of an oversized top, and legs - LEGS FOR DAYS. Love. I want to be her.<br />

I was absolutely blown away by the Farley Chatto show. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. I knew there would be a lot of fur, but OH MY GAWD. Everything. Was. Beautiful. EVERYTHING. During the show I came to this logical realization that I clearly need fur-everything. I am currently on the hunt for the PERFECT faux fur vest (faux because we all know the real stuff ain't cheap).<br />
<br />
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get any "good" snaps of the gsus show, but what I CAN tell you is that women LOVE wearing gigantic hats to fashion week. Let's hope that someday I can avoid the back of heads and hats and sit in the front row! Overall, I had a lovely time watching these three shows at Toronto Fashion Week, hope to eventually attend more!<br />
<br />
In other news, the sun has finally broke through the polar vortex cold here in Toronto! Bring on the Spring style!! <3<br />

<br />
This long-*** Canadian winter is killing me. No, really - it is. I think I have S.A.D. You know, the disease of depression from lack of living in the sunny state of California? Why, mother nature - WHY?! Two short days ago we were basking in Spring bliss! I was wearing sunnies and strolling around in Converse sneakers! Yesterday we were hit with a mothaflippin snowmageddon, and today my disgusting fake 'uggs' (disclaimer: I got them for FREE with a JustFab order…don't judge me…) are soggy from the mounds of brown slush everywhere. EW. EW. Ew…ew..ew. Anyway, this post is a throwback - an ode to the season of sun, summer, and style (duh).<br />

OMG I could almost FEEL the warmth while I was editing these photos. I love this outfit, and I really want to wear it again! Preferably now, but I'm assuming I'll have to wait since it seems hell has frozen over. Completely. And FYI - I love this button down printed short-sleeve! I found it whilst scouring through my mom's closet of olde. She actually has a matching skirt, but I thought long and hard and knew that adopting the matching skirt would be pushing it.</div>

Anyway, behold one of my go-to bags. I used it throughout Summer, Fall, and am still using it now during this (flipping cold) Winter! Like I mentioned in my last post about wisely <a href="http://www.thelittledandy.com/2014/02/investing-in-leather-handbags.html" target="_blank">investing in leather handbags</a>, this was definitely a wise investment. I got it during ZARA's summer sale last year, and it was an absolute steal! I think it was marked down to $39 or $49 (I really can't remember anymore) - for real suede it was an incredible price! I love how it's roomy enough to carry EVERYTHING, and even has a closure inside to taper the top of the bag. </div>
<div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoEFFPPXvGvSCTYbwJQbxHCUy5z_pVHtj6VbLQMrAVBkYW-3iF3BqkA2l7R3ei8nla3tBrFzjut6SO-ycPNFPlOqjl83eQcCoTU3uXwadp2XPT9E7ZdgERgXLyzePyF-sgPkBIoKdItKA/s1600/tbtsummerzara8.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoEFFPPXvGvSCTYbwJQbxHCUy5z_pVHtj6VbLQMrAVBkYW-3iF3BqkA2l7R3ei8nla3tBrFzjut6SO-ycPNFPlOqjl83eQcCoTU3uXwadp2XPT9E7ZdgERgXLyzePyF-sgPkBIoKdItKA/s1600/tbtsummerzara8.png" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>

A shoe shot for your viewing pleasure! I snagged these during the same ZARA sale for $20! By now, though, I've kind of worn them to death and am on the market for a new pair of espadrille flats! I've been so in love with the <a href="http://www.chanel.com/en_CA/fashion/products/shoes/g/s.two-tone-lambskin-and-toile-espadrilles.14C.G29762Y15361C6854.cat.cas.html" target="_blank">Chanel black and white lambskin espadrilles</a>, but let's be honest, they're a BIT out of my price range. Luckily, <a href="http://lbb.ag/g4a0" target="_blank">Little Black Bag</a> recently released these <a href="http://www.littleblackbag.com/product/details/85511/grey-black-pour-la-victoire-bailey-flat" target="_blank">Pour La Victoire Bailey Flats</a>! They're not leather, but I am loving the colour combo and the price point! <br />
<br />
In other news - it's World Master Card Fashion Week here in Toronto next week! I couldn't be more excited because GUESS THE *FRICK* WHAT?! I got invited. I got invited to my very first runway shows! Yes, showS!! Multiple! I'm over-the-moon with excitement and can NOT WAIT! I'll definitely be posting my experience here on the blog :).<br />
<br />
<b style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">Hope these throwback summer photos warmed you up!</span></b><br />

Now that I'm morphing into this thing that people call "a grown-up", my style tastes have very much changed. I've never liked out-there colours, or too-loud prints, but I've frequented a brighter colour palette and some geo and floral prints in the past. It's not that I am abandoning colour and print all-together, but I've found that I'm becoming more drawn to textures rather then prints - and I am very much sticking to a more neutral colour palette as of late. For the past few months the only colour I've been wearing is the blue of blue jeans!<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
Gone are the days of frivolously spending on trendy-wear - I'm moving on to pieces that will last over time and season-after-season. Don't get me wrong, I will never abandon my penchant for the likes of Forever21 and H&M; all I'm saying is, I'm focusing more on investing on pieces that I know I won't want to get rid of in the next few years to come. I'm just like every other girl when it comes to handbags - I hoard them. I don't even want to think about how many stupid purses are in my closet right now. Recently, I've been awakened by what I like to call leather-snobbery - haha! <br />
<br />

I haven't gone rogue, and my utmost respect for vegans and vegan-friendly faux leathers remain. It's just that the thought of spending more than $20 on a purse used to make me cringe, but now I'm open to it. I've completely expunged the novelty of a cheap faux-leather designer-inspired handbag. I'm over it. Buying imitation purses never used to bother me, but out of respect for hard-working designers, I refuse to do it anymore. I'm ready to graduate and move on to becoming a smarter shopper when it comes to investing in higher-end fashion pieces - BUT this certainly doesn't mean I can afford the gorgeous Chanel in the first pic of this post! I'm still a crazed bargain hunter! Always have been, and always will be. This past month I've invested in 2 small leather bags and I couldn't be more excited for them, or more happy about the deals I scored!<br />
<br />
I got the Pour La Victoire Alsace crossbody in black and gold through an amazing transaction/trade through <a href="http://lbb.ag/e2zn" target="_blank">Little Black Bag</a>, and I scored an "almost new" MICHAEL by Michael Kors Bedford Gusset crossbody in black and silver from <a href="https://www.trendtrunk.com/index.php?rid=JXLVEG" target="_blank">Trend Trunk</a>. I have yet to receive my shipment of either orders, but I am going crazy waiting for my new babies to arrive! If you can imagine how giddy a faux leather purse can make you feel - now times that by about a hundred (apologies if you are a vegan-friendly faux leather activist...I just can't hide the way I feel).<br />

If you're a handbag connoisseur, you'll know that luxury brand handbags cost a pretty penny no matter how tiny they are (uhhhh <a href="http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/originals/82/e2/56/82e25680e21fdc37e4dd15eed8a5de25.jpg" target="_blank">Celine Trio</a>, I'm talkin' 'bout chu!). I have yet, to this day, ever paid full or regular price for a luxury designer piece - I simply can't afford it on my puny salary. So what are us little people supposed to do? The ones that make the small bucks, but want the real thing? You scour. I scored both the Pour La Victoire and the Michael Kors for just a fraction of their retail costs! <br />
<br />
<h2>
3 Things to Consider When Investing in Leather Luxury Goods:</h2>
<br />
<ol>
<li><b>The first thing to consider is its worth. </b> When it comes to investing in a leather/luxury piece you need to really think it through - is it worth it? Are you going to use it for years to come? Is it going to last? Are you getting it in a colour and style that will stand the true test of time? If you're paying origial retail price, you really want to make sure your dollar is going as far as it can. (Spoken like a true cheapo haha!)</li>
<li>The second thing you can look into is alternative options to <b>avoid paying full-price</b>. You can try places like ebay or even your local kijiji, but always be cautious and thorough to avoid purchasing conterfeits! Another great place to check is your local designer consignment stores. In Toronto places like <a href="http://www.hauteclassics.com/" target="_blank">Haute Classics</a> and <a href="http://www.fashionablyyours.com/home.php" target="_blank">Fashionably Yours</a> are great places to check, and both stores provide online shopping (woohoo for all us Internet hobbits..what is real life?). My most recent favourite place to scour has been <a href="https://www.trendtrunk.com/index.php?rid=JXLVEG" target="_blank">Trend Trunk</a> - this website is exclusive only to Canadians, but it is great for both buying and selling! And lastly, it never hurts to check out your local discount stores like Winner's or Marhsall's, or websites like Little Black Bag to score a good deal on leather goods.</li>
<li>The last thing to consider before you make your purchase - <b>can you afford it?</b> You've decided the object of your affection is WORTH it to you; you've found the perfect deal - now, can you really, truly, madly, deeply afford it? This can be a little bit controversial, but I say if you won't be late on rent or skipping meals for it - you're in the clear! Haha.</li>
</ol>
<br />
<br />
Hope this was helpful to some of you! I'm going to go clean out my closet now and put my cheaper handbags up for sale on Trend Trunk! You can <a href="https://www.trendtrunk.com/TheLittleDandy" target="_blank">shop my closet here</a>!<br />

Naturally, when the weather gets cold, my vigor with scheduling <a href="http://www.thelittledandy.com/search/label/ootd" target="_blank">OOTD 'photoshoots'</a> with the boyf slows down because....well, it's damn cold outside in Canada. I know - I really know, I should get around to setting up a well-lit indoor space to do decent style-shoots, but with my recent move I'm still not quite settled in yet (I'm still on the hunt for cute storage solutions to free up some floor space! Should I get the IKEA Expedit shelving?? Gah...).<br />

<br />
Anywhoo, for that reason there has been a lack of outfits going on, but I haven't been sitting around like a scab of...life...(??...sometimes, I don't even know...). I've been keeping myself pretty busy with home decor DIYs (videos are in post-production!), and taking up a a new hobby: crochet. OMFGzzzz I am obsessed. I am a real 'Little Old Lady', I promise you. Growing up, my mom taught me how to knit. It was something that I was able to do, but never really enjoyed doing; knitting is time consuming and frickin' stressful. I was always in awe when I watched my mom crochet because it looked like a perfect rhythmic motion - like a dance routine I really wanted to learn.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://instagram.com/p/jb482AF9-6/" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjoXHMCP9GKrUj6wWlTy3OOFLiQDv4hvUIt5sKWrCGMzjFNrjz3pX3Ilx7iRSqDQrdZ3iZpEtUNEBZsVE_SLczKZc_mQglOmevxplh8aZCCjz093NliF2S0qNkyyLE1_IviGhXviehLpE/s1600/TheLittleDandyCrochetGnome.png" height="326" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Anyway, fast forward about a hundred years into the age of 'everyone can do anything thanks to Pinterest and YouTube' - I've taken up crochet with serious gusto; so much gusto that I've gone as far as taught a few friends and started a Facebook group and Tumblr page called '<a href="http://littleoldladies.tumblr.com/" target="_blank">Little Old Ladies</a>'; SO much so that I've gone and created an Etsy shop to sell my wares. And here's the real kicker; I've taken up crochet with SO much gusto that I've even signed myself up for my first vendor experience at the upcoming Annex Flea in Toronto on February 9th.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5rLhbIzRlWnN8Mc2hNFrMywqS8Hi7Vr5boIm1WcwiwyWe9cl4xDuMNi7olQCtUxFsMJPQ9_EvMMzemNLOut5zPARwJu32jZa8gfBcsFVpQcK9nVQUsce4dvaQxjFamC7RLbgqaIY-Ck0/s1600/TheLittleDandyCrochetMasonJar.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5rLhbIzRlWnN8Mc2hNFrMywqS8Hi7Vr5boIm1WcwiwyWe9cl4xDuMNi7olQCtUxFsMJPQ9_EvMMzemNLOut5zPARwJu32jZa8gfBcsFVpQcK9nVQUsce4dvaQxjFamC7RLbgqaIY-Ck0/s1600/TheLittleDandyCrochetMasonJar.png" height="326" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Tell me, do you crochet? Do you love knits? I freaking love it all! Maybe it's my die-hard love for Scandinavian design, or mid-century interior decor, or maybe it's just my true inner spirit of a little old lady (umm, I'm still waiting on a hair appointment to dye my dark locks grey) - whatever it is, I am alllll about crocheted-everything! I haven't sold any of my wares yet, but coming up with new projects just gets me giddy. I've perfected the hat, the scarf, the mitt, the basket...I'm ready to move on to more home decor items like rugs, throws, and poufs. I really hope you all enjoy my creations! <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Over-the-knee boots are something I've wanted for years - but we all know how difficult it is to find the perfect pair of boots. There are so many things to consider, especially when you're deciding to invest in real leather. Not only did I have to find a style that I liked, I had to make sure it fit well throughout the leg, and that it wouldn't break the bank.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ9q87jllC2kDHtS-yqIBmGfVa8vqmX-Fo6MTTVpx4C6xjpvmcgUemKwlqmCGfKFu3nwxhMJGikZpk1YNkD1fLx7WTFaOJYFgutlsDH3BF-AkmGWC4Xg7zk8RqRq7nR9w007_uu7dEZmc/s1600/OverTheKneeBoots_WinterStyle03.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ9q87jllC2kDHtS-yqIBmGfVa8vqmX-Fo6MTTVpx4C6xjpvmcgUemKwlqmCGfKFu3nwxhMJGikZpk1YNkD1fLx7WTFaOJYFgutlsDH3BF-AkmGWC4Xg7zk8RqRq7nR9w007_uu7dEZmc/s1600/OverTheKneeBoots_WinterStyle03.png" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When I found these <a href="http://www.justfab.ca/index.cfm?action=shop.viewproduct&master_product_id=594625&kw=elliot&psrc=site_search" target="_blank">Eliot Boots from JustFab's Luxe line</a>, it was like the heavens had opened up and finally answered my prayers - it was too good to be true! Typically, when you go to shops like ALDO or Brown's, a true leather over-the-knee boot will set you back somewhere between $200 - $300 bones. These Eliot Boots were on sale for $89, PLUS JustFab was having a 'Fuzzies' promo, and I got a free pair of their 'Fuzzies' boots, too! A serious steal! Now, I'll admit that they're not my 'dream boot' (those would be either a pair of Alexander Wang's or Stuart Weitzmans…), but they've been serving their purpose quite well! I've got an 'okay-fitting' real leather over-the-knee boot for under $100 - that's a serious score in my books!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Contrary to what some might think, these boots really do add an extra layer of warmth to your legs - not to mention, they keep you looking terribly chic during the cold season! By now, you all know my go-to fashion get up: Oversized top + slim bottom. The combination of bundling up on top, and then slipping on these boots has been working out quite well for me this winter!</div>

The perfect accessory to complete this icy season has got to be this perfectly fun <a href="http://www.vincausa.com/store.php?" target="_blank">gems ring by VINCA</a>. If you haven't checked out their line of accessories, I suggest you do! Everything is perfectly witty - just the way I like..everything! Haha. Lately, I've been on a heavy rotation of white/grey/black everything in terms of wardrobe and accessories. New year, new style I suppose!</div>

One of my resolutions for 2014 is to be a healthier, happier, person. What better way to achieve this then to work out, amirite?! In my younger days I was some sort of invincible olympian, I swear. I taught Tae Kwon Do, ran track, was a gymnast -- I even worked out for the heck of it (what?!). I kept up my fitness throughout my university years, but some time after graduating I threw it all out the window and just let myself "go". I'm not saying I sat on the couch until I grew to resemble something whale-like (in fact, I've actually some-how shrank in size). What I'm saying is, my muscular strength has completely diminished; I am a soft - very<i> VERY</i> soft - marshmallow. When you're easing back into getting in shape, or if you're a completely new to working out, spending a ton of money on workout gear and memberships doesn't at all seem like a wise investment, which is exactly why I wanted to share this with you guys.<br />
<br />

</tbody></table>
<br />
Here are my top 3 affordable workout regimens. Keep in mind, I'm no fitness expert nor am I even remotely in shape, but I think these workouts are the most affordable and most effective for beginners that want to ease back into getting in shape (like me!).<br />
<br />
<h4>
1. <a href="http://www.blogilates.com/" target="_blank">Blogilates</a></h4>
Have you heard of <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/blogilates?feature=watch" target="_blank">Cassey from Blogilates</a>?! If you haven't, just stop - STOP- what you are doing and go check out her YouTube channel. This girl is amazing. Not only does she make easy to follow work out videos, she goes out of her way to create calendars with a mapped out workout plan for each day of the week-- ALL FOR FREE!! A god send, really.<br />
<br />
<h4>
2. Hot Yoga</h4>
Now, I know what you're all thinking - "UMMM Hot Yoga classes cost an arm and a leg!" Well, it doesn't always HAVE to. This may not be a solution for everyone, as you'll have to be living in a big busy city with an influx of hot yoga studios. A lot of hot yoga studios offer promotions for first time yogis, and its usually a a flat rate (around $40-$60) for an entire 30days of unlimited yoga. Map out your closest hot yoga studios, and have your fill one month at a time! Not to mention, hot yoga studios also often offer promotions on group deal sites such as Groupon.<br />
<br />
<h4>
3. Workout Buddy</h4>
Allow me to go into further detail about this one because it's about more than JUST a workout buddy; it's about a workout buddy who has free access to a gym - or maybe YOU are the workout buddy with the free gym access?? Again, this may not be an accessible option to everyone, but in Toronto opportunities are a'plenty. A lot of my friends live in high rise condos in the downtown core, and ALL of their buildings have a gym. Ask one of your friends who works out if you can join them a couple times a week, or if they don't work out you can plan to get in shape together. Did I mention that working out with a buddy is also great quality bonding time? Let the girl talk flow sista'.<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Can you guess who's under the cat face? lol</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
If you're an extreme case, like myself, you may be in need of some solid workout gear. I, for one, didn't even own a sports bra until last week (true story). I started to shop around, and little did I know that a Nike sports bra retails for at least around $40! It's not even a whole shirt! Anyway, here are my suggestions on top 3 places you can buy affordable active wear. Keep in mind that if you're going to be sweating a LOT, you want to look for fabrics that wick away moisture like nylon and spandex. Try to stay away from cotton!<br />
<br />
<h4>
1. <a href="http://canada.forever21.com/Product/Category.aspx?br=f21&category=activewear" target="_blank">Forever21 Activewear</a></h4>
Forever 21 offers a variety of low-high impact sports bras at as low as $12.80, as well as workout tops and bottoms at very fair prices. What's even better is that when they're on sale, they're even cheaper! <br />
<br />
<h4>
2. <a href="https://www.joefresh.com/Categories/Women/Activewear/c/10004" target="_blank">Joe Fresh Activewear</a></h4>
Joe Fresh also offers a variety of active wear in similar price ranges as Forever21. However, their styles are a bit more mature, and their sizing fits bigger.<br />
<br />
<h4>
3. Winner's/Marshall's</h4>
Lastly, if you're a stickler for the "quality" that big brands offer, you can always check out your local discount store like Winner's or Marshall's to get Nike, Addidas or what have you at lower than regular retail price.<br />
<br />
Hope this was helpful to some of you! I've been sticking to the Blogilates Beginner's Workout Calendar and it has been kicking my butt! Also, the cat faces? Don't ask...<br />
<br />

<span style="font-size: x-large;"><b>HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!</b></span></div>
<br />
I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's Eve celebration wherever you were and whomever you were with. Due to the elderly condition of my back (har har, but srsly tho...I can elaborate on this later), I spent it indoors snuggling up next to the Boyf and sipping on champagne. It was a lovely way to ring in the new year, and throw the old one out the window. Am I seriously the only one that doesn't ever feel great about the previous year ending?? All over Instagram and Facebook I see posts like "Thanks 2013! You were great! So many memories!! BLAH BLAH WORD VOMIT BLAH!!" -- maybe I'm just a very negative person with a heart that is cold as stone? Ha..ha? Seriously though, why?! I don't know, but what I DO KNOW is that I always look forward to the 'fresh start feeling' of a new year; the dawn of a new beginning where, really, anything is possible if you try your friggin best.<br />

<h4>
Plan to Keep Your New Year's Resolutions in 2014!</h4>
I mentioned this in my previous post, but in 2014 I'm bringing my A-game. I want to be a healthier, happier, and overall more productive person this year -- and I'm serious this time! What is it that makes resolutions so difficult to keep? Time. Every year we make lists of resolutions we want to keep, but weeks later the list goes long-forgotten; if you are not constantly reminding yourself of the goal in mind, then you are slowly giving-in to losing your drive until one day it is gone - completely. <br />
<br />
Try this: Make your list for the year. It may be 10 to 10,000 items long - it doesn't matter. Write it down on paper, somewhere that you will not lose it. Now, take that list and break it down from easiest to most difficult. Take a look at the easiest and most-attainable goals and decide to conquer them within January. In short, you are taking your massive list and breaking it down into 12 mini-lists - one for each month. At the end of each month, re-visit your massive list to see where you are at. 'The re-visit' will be the most important factor to help you stay in the game, and remind you of your self-progress. Now, I'm no expert, but this is what I'm going to try to stick to doing and I'm really hopeful that it will work! Here's my mini-list of resolutions for January!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNWMsCB7o4t6AfR0ISB5wtxcHz9GtsfraSEjB4dWacNqtCEn86_6epl2eBCT6gQGHLCF5HEWNbs54ZZz5fk67A5TDSfHGpGUpz9WzY42OsFToWnkj-Kiq3n617xHLkEMOi4HSzWxtiQV4/s1600/January+resolutions+2014.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNWMsCB7o4t6AfR0ISB5wtxcHz9GtsfraSEjB4dWacNqtCEn86_6epl2eBCT6gQGHLCF5HEWNbs54ZZz5fk67A5TDSfHGpGUpz9WzY42OsFToWnkj-Kiq3n617xHLkEMOi4HSzWxtiQV4/s640/January+resolutions+2014.png" width="640" /></a></div>
My entire 'massive list' of resolutions for the entire year of 2014 is less than 15 items long as I've tried to keep them both realistic yet still challenging. Good luck to all that are embarking on a better year in 2014! May your inner strength and drive be with you! For now, I shall leave you with this super inspirational video, even though my goals have nothing to do with becoming a professional athlete, the words...they do inspire. Take a look and a listen:<br />

<a href="http://instagram.com/thelittledandy" target="_blank"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY5KyvsBD7q8yavJj3lI-fDdchOyH0PSPNlx850r4a8FX5sgl3IXLiMdPVv3UMzzvobVItaz9Axn1W65YyU_FD9njIEIwW2vrUDGtLjQJJ-ufG476aUS20oy4hzi5tML3dJpykRdKyD7Q/s640/THE-LITTLE-DANDY-2013-WRAP-UP.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And so it ends, 2013. The older I get, the faster each year seems to fly by while I desperately grasp at literal time and beg for each moment to last longer. The feeling of each year going by quicker and quicker is increasingly giving me the anxious feeling that there truly are not enough moments in a day; in a month; in a year; to accomplish everything that you set out to do.<br />
<br />
What I'm meaning to say is: I wish I had done more with my year, but who doesn't? It's an inevitable feeling that I think most people sink into as a year comes to a close. However, the more I grow up the more I'm getting to know myself; I am hard on myself. I set expectations that are always too high. If you are like me, then it will be inevitable that you will be feeling a sense of failure or lack of accomplishment at the end of the year. But do not be defeated! <br />
<br />
I started to really think about this past year, the things I've done and the areas of my life that have improved: I moved into a better apartment; I'm making a little more money; I've learned more about the technology of digital marketing; and I've been loved, and loved, more than I ever have before. When it comes down to it, I know that I am bettering my life year-over-year, but because I am still not where I want to be I feel defeated though I have not failed.<br />
<br />
In 2014 I want to realistic about the goals I set out for myself; drastic change and success is never found overnight, and I have finally come to accept and understand that. I think unrealistic goals are daunting, and it is the poison that makes people feel like giving up, which in turn creates laziness. I want to overcome that. If you haven't heard of Trend Trunk yet, allow me to explain. Trend Trunk has created a solution for Canadian fashionistas and shopaholics everywhere; they are a free online marketplace (much like the well-loved Kijiji or Craigslist) for selling your own new or pre-loved fashion and beauty products for money. What makes Trend Trunk so special and different from other online marketplaces is that they offer a unique service that completely eliminates the awkward meet-ups to sell your stuff. They are exclusively partnered with Canada Post, which allows for them to ship the seller all labels and packaging needed for the seller to painlessly ship items to the shopper. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! Another unique and convenient feature of the site is that it easily allows you to donate your earnings to a charity of your choice. Are you loving them yet?? Be sure to check out my <a href="https://www.trendtrunk.com/TheLittleDandy" target="_blank">Trend Trunk closet</a> and be sure to follow my closet to keep up with new items for sale!</div>

Until the official kick-off of Winter weather on December 21st, we've still got 10 days of what is left of Fall. Funny though, as it seems the cold winter started a couple weeks ago in Toronto, and we've had to dress accordingly. Everyone knows that colder weather is difficult to dress for. How can one still manage to look cute whilst bundled under layers of warmth? Balance. It's all about balance. My philosophy? If you're bundling up to look top-heavy, keep your shape by sticking with skinny bottom. Take a look at a few ways I've been layering up and maintaining the cuteness (....I think?). <br />
<br />
<h4>
Graphic Tee & Ankle Boots</h4>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKXDJKMLrWVnQYxJczqn8DDobZ8TzoBT6jeFbI4I-35xra781V62SJDItylJt-f3X_PsdA-2tDMTQTrl5OGEQmQsQgmVxbmTuFbHZrMsD_mNASNE_N-JvPzTHnKEnnlNMaVOW4i6I4S1g/s1600/Fall-Layers-Ankle-Boots.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKXDJKMLrWVnQYxJczqn8DDobZ8TzoBT6jeFbI4I-35xra781V62SJDItylJt-f3X_PsdA-2tDMTQTrl5OGEQmQsQgmVxbmTuFbHZrMsD_mNASNE_N-JvPzTHnKEnnlNMaVOW4i6I4S1g/s640/Fall-Layers-Ankle-Boots.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
I would say this is the perfect combo for a "normal" Fall day. And by "normal" I mean a hint of chill in the air, and crunchy leaves to-and-fro.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Cardigan: Joe Fresh</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Grahic Tee: Forever21</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Skinny Jeans: H&M</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ankle Boots: GoJane.com</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<h4>
Cropped Sweatpants</h4>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7b3X7OFwuNG8csVgUbyrxdML7cmMK6GVuRDOZnA6fJnYR-jYd3D_HTdWABaY7tu86lN5Aik_cqbIv832d6guhyphenhypheng-xmf1C1yEvgzcMPQYQqrHmdDJsq61NPl5LczH-pdWuYYvourLsg08/s1600/Fall-Style-Sweat-Pants.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7b3X7OFwuNG8csVgUbyrxdML7cmMK6GVuRDOZnA6fJnYR-jYd3D_HTdWABaY7tu86lN5Aik_cqbIv832d6guhyphenhypheng-xmf1C1yEvgzcMPQYQqrHmdDJsq61NPl5LczH-pdWuYYvourLsg08/s640/Fall-Style-Sweat-Pants.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
Now, for much colder Fall weather, the above and following combinations have been very appropriate. Not to mention, I have been absolutely obsessed with, not only thick chunky scarves, but CROCHETING. Omigaaaawd. I have literally become a crazy obsessed crochet-master in the past couple of months, and I'm proud to say I made these very scarves that are featured in this post *dusts off shoulder* :). Also, I need to make a point of this: sweatpants are not okay. But cropped sweats paired with anything but sneakers? Chic.<br />

<h4>
The Oversized Jacket</h4>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiW85dyvsWQ1_TK9KArHdDaW-37zK2dUiWmR4kH289zjrt4Bjbg36ym4iknRq6uLYajTBov28Ljn3fbV7DMFCyzP9uArW2qJQne5zt_C4XPzNsIZomtAfDldltlQdmvCd40FJ_TZREPC1M/s1600/Fall-Layers-Oversized-Jacket.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiW85dyvsWQ1_TK9KArHdDaW-37zK2dUiWmR4kH289zjrt4Bjbg36ym4iknRq6uLYajTBov28Ljn3fbV7DMFCyzP9uArW2qJQne5zt_C4XPzNsIZomtAfDldltlQdmvCd40FJ_TZREPC1M/s640/Fall-Layers-Oversized-Jacket.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
Call me obsessed, but I have been loving the oversized coat thanks to ZARA. I found this cheaper alternative on Tobi. Paired with a skinny bottom, I promise you won't look like a hobo.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

<h4>

There are a lot of things that I tend to get OBSESSED with. But there are also the things that I am in LOVE with. Timeless and classic things, such as the black. If something comes in a slew of colours and black is an option -- I'm there. I think my dedicated <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/thelittledandy/black/" target="_blank">Pinterest board</a> is proof enough.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

As I've already expressed, I have a serious soft spot for grunge style this season. Army green and combat boots are an absolute must. And of course the necessary dark hued layers of warmth.<br />
<br />
Jacket: Suit (Made in Denmark)<br />
Dolman Sweater: American Apparel<br />
Marled Cardigan: Joe Fresh<br />
Winter Leggings: American Apparel<br />
Combat Boots: Wanted (from Tobi.com)<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">How have you been layering up this winter?? Hope these combinations give you some fresh ideas to stay cute and keep warm!</span><br />

<br />
Fall is in full-swing in Toronto (we've even got a full winter-wonderland type of thing happening in London right now, but I digress...). With the colder weather in full-swing, I'm back in the grind of mastering the art of layering (or, some might say, bundling). What can I say, it gets chilly over here!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6juJspzBGQIYNnRf63M1Ll_oqUnocbDSfI70VdDt69krv4Ok4E5gYG_qdWP1LqWFxCvlAVNzEElQK-Rqvus4b4MyAiZcUDCPOyC5uNQGJlpiY8jNXpEaEYpup-zR8yn-fhj2BQY_kn54/s1600/Fashion-Style-Panel-Fall-02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6juJspzBGQIYNnRf63M1Ll_oqUnocbDSfI70VdDt69krv4Ok4E5gYG_qdWP1LqWFxCvlAVNzEElQK-Rqvus4b4MyAiZcUDCPOyC5uNQGJlpiY8jNXpEaEYpup-zR8yn-fhj2BQY_kn54/s640/Fashion-Style-Panel-Fall-02.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

<br />
During Fall/Winter my equation stays generally the same:<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Warm = Skinny (bottoms + top) + Oversized Layer (tee + sweater) </b></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love the look of an over-sized sweater or cardigan. In neutral textures and colours, they're so easy to pair with outfits to complete a warm look. An over-sized sweater truly creates an effortless way for you to make a basic skinny jean + tee combo look very put together and balanced. And we can't forget the warmth it provides! I suggest always pairing an over-sized sweater with a skinny bottom. Either warm leggings or skinny jeans will do just fine, but you could even go as far as pairing your over-sized sweater with a body-hugging skirt. *ooh la la...*</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuO5wH2Jvt5RXKQ_q-RbdL2SmFBl_ScQ75nC9DmiMmFrJPie5kGI3yhz5Wc0GV3xxDHHuz7rXyDagjpa1Qb1psRO00SB4hQ5T8kbUb9qUGjdOzESGJayRuuC9W6sz2BvniUBKQtnJ1mu0/s1600/Fashion-Style-Panel-Fall-08.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuO5wH2Jvt5RXKQ_q-RbdL2SmFBl_ScQ75nC9DmiMmFrJPie5kGI3yhz5Wc0GV3xxDHHuz7rXyDagjpa1Qb1psRO00SB4hQ5T8kbUb9qUGjdOzESGJayRuuC9W6sz2BvniUBKQtnJ1mu0/s640/Fashion-Style-Panel-Fall-08.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This particular heather grey marled cardigan is from Joe Fresh. I loved it so much I had to get it in two colours! I'm not sure if they're still carrying it, but it's worth checking out if you have a Joe Fresh or Loblaws nearby! ;)<br />

On another note, I went on a limb and got some clear glasses. Thoughts?? I'm not completely sold on them yet, but I've been trying to make them work! I think they work way better with more of a neutral make-up look on, like I have on <a href="http://instagram.com/p/gwGCsUF94Z/" target="_blank">here</a>.<br />

BTW these olive BDG boots were at absolute STEAL from Urban Outfitters! I think the original retail price was $79.99, and the sale tag read $29.99. Imagine my surprise when the cashier rung me threw and they were actually $19.99!! Don't you love it when that happens though??<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I mentioned this a few posts ago, but<a href="http://www.blogger.com/"><span id="goog_1934954684"></span> I recently moved into a new apartment<span id="goog_1934954685"></span></a>! *YAYYYY*. I must admit, moving is a royal pain in the a-hole, but there's also an incredibly exciting aspect to it when it comes to unpacking because you get to decide where everything will go all over again; it's a clean fresh start.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Naturally, I've unpacked and have already bought some new furniture, as well as scoured online marketplaces for retro pieces to fill my new space, but the apartment still needs a lot of work.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyway, I just thought I'd share with y'all my Pinterest-fueled visions for the new space!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<h3>
The Living Room</h3>
I want this space to feel very comfortable, cozy and relaxed. I also want my personality to echo throughout, so I decided to go with my favourite design aesthetic (Danish Mid-Century). I'm actually hoping to carry this aesthetic throughout the entire space. Because the living room will be used to just kick back and relax with loved ones, I want to keep it fun and laid back with pops of colour and cozy textures! Here are my picks:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li><b><a href="http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/S89886906/" target="_blank">KIVIK sofa</a> from Ikea: </b> I've already purchased one in a 'Dark DANSBO Grey' colour ;)</li>
<li><b>Fun toss pillows: </b>I've already gathered quite a slew of these, but I'm still on the hunt for the perfect puppy cushion!</li>
<li><b>High Pile Shag Rug: </b>Rugs can be quite pricy! I've found the best prices to be at IKEA & Target. In the meantime, I've just been using an old fluffy blanket…weird?</li>
<li><b>Candles: </b>Yummy, yummy candles! (Lately, I've been loving <a href="http://www.voluspa.com/" target="_blank">Voluspa</a>…it's become the main reason I want to browse around Indigo lol).</li>
<li><b>Retro Coffee Table:</b> I scored a cute one off of Kijiji for just $40 delivered! Originally, I really wanted an original Danish Teak Wood table…but those babes be pricey -- even used! :(</li>
<li><b>Crochet Poufs! </b> These retail for around $80 or so…I'm still in the midst of coming up with an easy/affordable DIY alternative.</li>
<li><b>Danish/Retro arm chair: </b> These can be pricey, especially if purchased new (there is plenty of stock of these types of chairs in numerous stores on Queen West) -- HOWEVER, I have come by some potentials on Kijiji! Must keep looking!</li>
<li><b>A Cool floor lamp: </b>Floor lamps -- good ones -- are not cheap. I'm still on the Kijiji-hunt!</li>
</ol>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMvznISdbUzUZ2JJK3qilxgrKi0vyPX-Bktwc1NgNEIKDTeb_DaGKVYhX1DpU_RkwzSCJsEJDl1SWXkS8qaOcP2fKJbxsNMacSf5Kp2PmYDxFkUOp7QU8cfyxBnMhg1l3jhX6ocH-Cl6Y/s1600/TLD-home-office.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMvznISdbUzUZ2JJK3qilxgrKi0vyPX-Bktwc1NgNEIKDTeb_DaGKVYhX1DpU_RkwzSCJsEJDl1SWXkS8qaOcP2fKJbxsNMacSf5Kp2PmYDxFkUOp7QU8cfyxBnMhg1l3jhX6ocH-Cl6Y/s640/TLD-home-office.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<h3>
The Home Office</h3>
I've actually split the main living area of the apartment into the 'Living Room' and the 'Home Office'. Because these two 'rooms' are essentially sharing one big space, I thought it would be best to keep some consistency in colour throughout. I decided I would keep the browns and whites carried throughout the entire space (coffee table, desk, chair, white walls, white textures, etc). However, for the office space, I wanted less colour and more neutrals. Here are my picks:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li><b>Grey Patterned Rug:</b> I'm still on the hunt for the perfect one. Surprisingly, <a href="http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=24099624&parentid=A_FURN_RUGS" target="_blank">Urban Outfitters</a> has some pretty great (albeit cheap) ones! </li>
<li><b><a href="http://www.pinterest.com/thelittledandy/wall-art-ideas/" target="_blank">Wall Art</a>: </b>These are actually found images from Pinterest! To keep things cheap, just print them right out as images. Another good option is clean images from magazines. I've chosen to put mine into black and white<a href="http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/60132521/" target="_blank"> Ikea RIBBA frames</a> (which I also scored off of Kijiji).</li>
<li><b>IKEA faux sheep skin rug:</b> Rather than having this on the chair, I've opted to have it as a rug for my feet under the desk. The faux sheep skin is a great alternative to the real sheep skin rug at Ikea. <a href="http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/30229077/" target="_blank">The faux is only $13!</a></li>
<li><b>Retro Leather Office Chair: </b>I scored this off of Kijiji for $30 delivered!</li>
<li><b><a href="http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/S69001945/" target="_blank">Ikea LINNMON/KRILLE desk:</a> </b> I've already purchased and built this! It's such a great bargain for a clean work space (only $79!).</li>
</ol>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinS5ndyyLp-UX2abF-Q7TXlS7hjubt33sIFcWrh8lSDKrT_DdAcFx_Z8J-g2TuNb03VPG8aIfn62Chyl7aiY26keZqcX-Arls4GX_i1kWO7ZR3vqnHl9-oq2pbYxrDTr8OvFX5dDv43uI/s1600/TLD-Bedroom-Decor.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinS5ndyyLp-UX2abF-Q7TXlS7hjubt33sIFcWrh8lSDKrT_DdAcFx_Z8J-g2TuNb03VPG8aIfn62Chyl7aiY26keZqcX-Arls4GX_i1kWO7ZR3vqnHl9-oq2pbYxrDTr8OvFX5dDv43uI/s640/TLD-Bedroom-Decor.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<h3>
The Bedroom</h3>
I'm not one to like themes because I feel like sometimes they only add to the mess of a bedroom. Naturally, I can tend to be messy most of the time, and to make up for this mess I wanted a theme that would just look effortlessly clean on its own, despite piles of messy clothing. I've decided that a predominantly black and white scheme would work best for this! And of course, the Danish aesthetic remains! Here are my picks:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li><b>Clean Solid Frames: </b>I scored a bunch of these off of Kijiji, but you can purchase similar ones on Ikea<a href="http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/60132521/" target="_blank"> here</a>.</li>
<li><b>Simple Low-Sitting Bed: </b>This is the <a href="http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/S19849842/" target="_blank">MALM bed from Ikea</a>. I purchased mine about a year ago. I wish I had decided to go with White back then, but what can ya do? I'll have to use the black of the bed as the anchor colour and lighten up the rest of the room with mostly whites and greys.</li>
<li><b>Simple White Night Stand: </b> These are a dime-a-dozen on Kijiji. I'm thinking I'll be able to find any small night stand with clean lines and paint it white. Hopefully a project that will cost me under $20!</li>
<li><b>Crochet Rug: </b>I've seen<a href="http://cafecartolina.blogspot.ca/2010/07/found-mega-doily-rug.html#.UoT3wPmkpmc" target="_blank"> this DIY project</a> on Pinterest maybe about a dozen times. I am determined to do it!!</li>
<li><b>Eames Rocker: </b>Okay, okay. These are pricey. I think they retail for around $200 in store, but there's still hope! I have seen similar chairs on Kijiji for fairer prices. This chair is majorly 'wish listed' for now.</li>
<li><b>Industrial Floor or Wall Lamp: </b> I'm hoping to score a gem on Kijiji, but if not I know there are some options at Ikea.</li>
</ol>

I know this post has been different from the usual style-fuelled posts, but now that the home-decor bug has taken over, I'll probably be posting something decor-related every once in a while. I hope you guys enjoy these as much as I enjoy making them!<br />

<br />
There's something about the changing of the seasons that gets me in a mood to re-organize and re-focus myself. With this upswing of OCDness comes some serious gusto to clean everything and make sure <i>everything</i> is in its place. Anyway, whilst organizing my photo folders to backup my files, I noticed a few 'photo shoots' from the summer that I never got around to posting here. Ergo, I bring you the '#TBT' posts. This will be the first of three so I hope you enjoy them ;). [FYI: by '#tbt' I mean "hashtag-throw-back-Thursday...]<br />

<br />
There were a few things that I found myself consistently grabbing for on days when I'd have very little time to make myself look 'decent': <a href="http://www.thelittledandy.com/2013/04/the-head-scarf.html" target="_blank">The Headscarf</a>, The Maxi Skirt + <a href="http://www.thelittledandy.com/2013/07/quietly-obsessed-crop-tops.html" target="_blank">Crop Top</a> Combo, and Red Lips. Any of these things in and of themselves are absolute life savers! Dirty hair?? HEADSCARF. Too lazy for pants? MAXI SKIRT. To sleepy for makeup? RED LIPS. The amount of work these things just <i>DO</i> for you is astonishing, and I really appreciate the magic of it all.<br />

<br />
My go-to hair routine all summer involved a super high (albeit <a href="http://copenhannah.tumblr.com/post/14228929903/how-to-look-like-a-dane" target="_blank">Danish</a>) bun accompanied by a wrapped headscarf (I was--no, <i>still am</i>, VERY obsessed with these). This particular headscarf was the birth of <a href="http://www.thelittledandy.com/search/label/diy" target="_blank">a simple DIY</a>. Sometimes, scissors are your very best friend. This 'do is a lifesaver if: <b>a) </b>you haven't showered in DAYS because you just so happen to be as disgusting and lazy as myself, or <b>b)</b> your annoying baby-hair flyaways feel like being forever-pain-in-the-asses.<br />

Well, actually, we're in the THICK of it now. Never have I been so excited for fall! Seriously. I used to be a summer goddess; sunshine and heat all the time was my mantra (odd for a Canadian, I know). To state the obvious: as we get older our tastes start to change. I remember thinking Mars bars were disgusting as a kid, and now I can't help but shove those mini ones in my mouth every 5 minutes. Though, to be quite honest, my lack of A/C all summer is probably to blame for my new love for the Fall season.<br />
<br />
Regardless, I am obviously obsessing over 2013 Fall/Winter Style!! I've been spending my days dreaming up go-to looks in my head, which get me giddy with excitement. Does anyone else find excitement in their own imaginations of styling looks? *crickets*.<br />
<br />
Anyway, of all the trends for Fall/Winter 2013, the one that takes my heart is the bad-ass grunge fair. From clothes to beauty here's the look obsessing over...<br />
<h2>
<span style="font-size: x-large;">10 WAYS TO ROCK GRUNGE FOR FALL/WINTER 2013</span></h2>
<div>
My own take on grunge isn't as literal as most people like to take the trend. As with most trends, I take my favourite aspects and make them my own. If you are a bit uneasy about going full Kurt or Courtney this Fall, here are 10 ways you can incorporate the look without having friends or family approach you about your innermost feelings. Here are 10 ways to rock grunge...subtly. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGUcKu1sxqDguAC9jnBnrFqJbVG2cfNXFyM8qhjPtK9L4CW4K5q-H5YFF153KDQ92a8rINXMnQ3Va0Ph0Ifwd5Nlqz-d-GE_MeTHn_CkNoYHMxE5BtHNrYSZ3OF9-deaILrfwg_Yd9UIY/s1600/tld1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGUcKu1sxqDguAC9jnBnrFqJbVG2cfNXFyM8qhjPtK9L4CW4K5q-H5YFF153KDQ92a8rINXMnQ3Va0Ph0Ifwd5Nlqz-d-GE_MeTHn_CkNoYHMxE5BtHNrYSZ3OF9-deaILrfwg_Yd9UIY/s640/tld1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<h3>
<b>1. Colour Theory:</b></h3>
</div>
<div>
Colour plays a huge part when it comes to style; the same piece in different colours can portray an entirely different look. When going grunge, stick to deep dark neutral shades such as black, grey, navy, darker reds, and darker greens.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<h3>
<b>2. Toques</b></h3>
</div>
<div>
The cutest way to stay warm! Pick up a couple basic knit toques (beanies) in a dark solid colour. Stay away from prints, but witty words are always fun.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<h3>
<b>3. Scarves</b></h3>
</div>
<div>
In my honest opinion, wearing scarves doesn't really come to mind when I think about grunge style, but it's so cold today that I thought -- why not?! Again, I would steer clear of wacky prints and go for something solid and neutral.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<h3>
<b>4. Oversized Jacket</b></h3>
</div>
<div>
This will be an essential piece to your Fall/Winter grunge look. You'll be wearing it the most and it will be the most visible. Again, stick to the dark colours, but you can mix it up a bit with fabric that is textured, has a multi-coloured knit, or with a colour-blocked pattern.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<h3>
<b>5. Knits</b></h3>
</div>
<div>
I think this is a given for fall/winter style in general. Warm knit sweaters! Oversized or cropped. Fun prints in neutral colours are a yes.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<h3>
<b>6. Skinny</b></h3>
</div>
<div>
When it comes to pants, a skinny fit is a must -- especially to accommodate whats up next: combat boots.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<h3>
<b>7. Combat Boots</b></h3>
</div>
<div>
Where other pieces can be styled to look grungy, combat style boots ARE grungy. They are an absolute staple when trying to pull this look together. If you can't afford Dr. Martens, you can always find a cheaper alternative <a href="http://www.tobi.com/product/48224-tobi-platinum-laced-boots?color_id=63665" target="_blank">here</a>, <a href="http://canada.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=F21&Category=whatsnew_shoes&ProductID=2000050878&VariantID=" target="_blank">here </a>or <a href="http://www.gojane.com/favorites-combat-boots.html" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<h3>
<b>8. Messy hair</b></h3>
</div>
<div>
Hair down, in a low pony, or braided; tastefully messy hair is in. I say tastefully because I don't want you throwing your hair about to create a hot mess. Texture sprays and dry shampoo will be your best friend. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<h3>
<b>9. Smoke</b>(y eyes)</h3>
</div>
<div>
Stay away from the traditional black, and try a subtle bronze or brown-toned smokey eye. It gives you the grunge look without being over-the-top. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<h3>
<b>10. Matte Dark Lips</b></h3>
</div>
<div>
It's that time of the year again. Try a dark lip -- but do it matte! Fortunately, many cosmetic lines have recently released new matte formulas that actually breathe and moisturize rather than drying out your lips. Go for dark plum wine hues. Delicious. FYI, I have been loving <a href="http://www.revlon.ca/Revlon-Home/Products/Lips/lipstain/Just-Bitten-Kissable-Balm-Stain.aspx" target="_blank">this line by Revlon</a>!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Hope this was helpful for some! I've already started to incorporate the beauty looks, and I've recently ordered a cute <a href="http://www.thelittledandy.com/2013/09/tobi-haul-review.html" target="_blank">oversized jacket and combat boots from Tobi.com</a>! Look forward to a Fall Beauty post to come!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Who else will be rocking the grunge look this fall??</span></b></div>

</div>
It's HALLOWEEN this Thursday! What are you dressing up as? To be quite honest, I'm never GUNG-HO (spelling??) about Halloween, but my costume choices tend to always be a) very last minute b) have very minimal effort required and c) are usually character based, rather than in the vein of some sort of monster-like creature...<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
Anyway, as you know, I've been trying to put efforts into <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/thelittledandy" target="_blank">my YouTube channel</a> as of late and decided 'why the heck not?!' to creating an '<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nn1CsxU5hG8" target="_blank">Easy Halloween Costume Ideas</a>' video! Now, be warned that I have a tendency to be quite sarcastic, but I hope someone somewhere, who is just as lazy as me, will find these suggestions helpful. <br />
<br />
And for those who'd rather not watch video, not to worry! I've gone ahead and collected some screen shots for you. Enjoy:<br />
<br />
1. THE SECRET AGENT<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDRbWTMmXJo6qmMxPhCit7Tor6iS240PjhgNvC70396IyWc7XFOXoRcAvlY6wvn3MldXB49UbaArDVNYG2Lydki7mRmrDQ1Yk6cDf40vkdaBFIuRh81tcaW1nzSEgx9GYm7h2mXNEL2So/s1600/Secret-Agent-Halloween-Costume.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="344" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDRbWTMmXJo6qmMxPhCit7Tor6iS240PjhgNvC70396IyWc7XFOXoRcAvlY6wvn3MldXB49UbaArDVNYG2Lydki7mRmrDQ1Yk6cDf40vkdaBFIuRh81tcaW1nzSEgx9GYm7h2mXNEL2So/s640/Secret-Agent-Halloween-Costume.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was inspired by Lucy Liu's Charlie's Angel or Maggie Q's Nikita. Makes sense because I'm Asian, right?? If you're not, I'd say just get a dark wig and fill in your brows with a dark brow pencil and you're set! OR you can just go as a blond secret agent :).</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZx2f6iHDNGYrNdkYTB5k4qJgrIpZJinXnnUEA9O1jwWz7cwA2Poeb_bwq57ZWe0F23OGqXvDP2r5ZTSmUDIjcCyjlKVkWxpyOlOX1HHWWRGc_YFEG6lKourmUEflsIMg2i3Y47q-4_ho/s1600/Simple-Natural-Makeup.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="344" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZx2f6iHDNGYrNdkYTB5k4qJgrIpZJinXnnUEA9O1jwWz7cwA2Poeb_bwq57ZWe0F23OGqXvDP2r5ZTSmUDIjcCyjlKVkWxpyOlOX1HHWWRGc_YFEG6lKourmUEflsIMg2i3Y47q-4_ho/s640/Simple-Natural-Makeup.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Secret Agents are all about natural beauty and no-fuss make-up. Keep it extremely natural in both the hair and makeup departments. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDd58T8PTH3LYCMNmjZSel_K7M8kXw4sy1qcZjxmZXEwaozXkqbxtTIEWdGMAY0np-Uq1I5Y55tn0D9cKvXdbIpNvS3lXJy3UfKIUIvAPEj1tcRfP44GGx1yqRTdVU6JRDgANWBLyP_Aw/s1600/Secret-Agent-Halloween-Costume.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="344" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDd58T8PTH3LYCMNmjZSel_K7M8kXw4sy1qcZjxmZXEwaozXkqbxtTIEWdGMAY0np-Uq1I5Y55tn0D9cKvXdbIpNvS3lXJy3UfKIUIvAPEj1tcRfP44GGx1yqRTdVU6JRDgANWBLyP_Aw/s640/Secret-Agent-Halloween-Costume.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now, put on all tight & black articles of clothing that you own...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgv6TGS80BUCgweoxiWKvWJcmtImliXJ1XR3rcUykBUWE9iT17jr0drmO8uZ1f0xuEe6mjhOMdextGYNtzWJ6Qf-CXxQ8eU_E8r7UKXOO23ChuwOf-b2Aw3uGBCSORAivvNpMz3DI3BEE/s1600/Secret-Agent-Halloween-Costume.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="344" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgv6TGS80BUCgweoxiWKvWJcmtImliXJ1XR3rcUykBUWE9iT17jr0drmO8uZ1f0xuEe6mjhOMdextGYNtzWJ6Qf-CXxQ8eU_E8r7UKXOO23ChuwOf-b2Aw3uGBCSORAivvNpMz3DI3BEE/s640/Secret-Agent-Halloween-Costume.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
...and I'd say you're ready to kick some butt!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2. THE VAMPIRE QUEEN</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4Yqp0drjV8CxKOJdkMeTcPUfQ6NadAjYrbl80fLH8vMMt0Y9oyi4oB6ShIPb7aWYmBh1lMA0WherVuk8FtorPR4FHll9FLBOegIV7oPXZiE9t8GFhbJP7WV5hp3jU_c7YGNyre6aT9Gw/s1600/Marceline-Vampire-Costume.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="344" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4Yqp0drjV8CxKOJdkMeTcPUfQ6NadAjYrbl80fLH8vMMt0Y9oyi4oB6ShIPb7aWYmBh1lMA0WherVuk8FtorPR4FHll9FLBOegIV7oPXZiE9t8GFhbJP7WV5hp3jU_c7YGNyre6aT9Gw/s640/Marceline-Vampire-Costume.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
This costume idea was soley inspired by Adventure Time's Marceline (the vampire queen). My boyfriend always notes the similarities in our appearances so I thought...'this should be easy'. If you don't know WHO Marceline is, or if you don't watch Adventure Time, click <a href="http://adventuretime.wikia.com/wiki/Marceline" target="_blank">here</a> to get up to speed. Basically, all you'll need are dark skinny jeans and a striped top to her look.<br />

You could go as far as painting your skin a blue-grey and investing in those fake fang-teeth. But y'all know I like to keep it simple. Just make your face as pale as possible (use your lightest foundation), and go ahead and draw on some fangs using an eye pencil. Done!</div>

A couple weeks ago I received a lovely package in the mail from POPBASIC! If you haven't heard of them, POPBASIC is an online shopping website that releases a new micro collection each month. The idea behind the brand is to, "Create your style one micro collection at a time,". I absolutely love the entire idea behind it; it is a completely new and unique way to approach online shopping for women. The internet is a cluttered and noisy place, and with so many affordable online shopping websites now, it's easy to fall into the trap of buying too-trendy and cheaply made garments that will not stand the true test of time. These pieces usually tend to fall apart or become out-dated before they see their next season. I know this from the wretched experience of combing through my own closet and tossing heaps of past trends from stores like Forever21 and H&M (now, envision a single tear slowly rolling down my cheek...).<br />
<br />

<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBwISb0Q_pmOVwno4P_j5KkKrH0I0zc3BUaeav6l3CLDyESYgg5TnVJn3IAjt6Wr72wFDU2Sw8ObNF_NV957mhP97RbI8GGKgbVQhvp6jefKoUD4Z3FfX9pDzx-mlnQH5wwr8KMj8Ig_A/s1600/POPBASIC-unboxing.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBwISb0Q_pmOVwno4P_j5KkKrH0I0zc3BUaeav6l3CLDyESYgg5TnVJn3IAjt6Wr72wFDU2Sw8ObNF_NV957mhP97RbI8GGKgbVQhvp6jefKoUD4Z3FfX9pDzx-mlnQH5wwr8KMj8Ig_A/s640/POPBASIC-unboxing.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">POPBASIC includes a hand-written note in each of their shipments; a very warm and personable touch.</td></tr>

With POPBASIC, you are introduced to a new, and carefully curated, micro collection each month. Each micro collection consists of three pieces that are able to both add a 'pop' to your wardrobe, as well as stand the true test of time as a well-made basic. It's the perfect system for over-whelmed shoppers to be able to filter through the noise and invest in basics that can be worn over-and-over-again without looking dated. As the queen of keeping and wearing things forever, I'm a huge fan!<br />
<br />
I received POPBASIC's LOST micro collection: the Sofia Boyfriend Shirt, the Dreamer Amethyst Necklace, and the Pink Silk Cord Bracelet.<br />
<br />
Each piece feels well-made. The Sofia Boyfriend Shirt is made of a heavy fabric and well tailored. Unlike other button-ups that I own, I love how this one has a hint of femininity as it flares out the back a little bit due to its intricate stitching. As for the Dreamer Amethyst Necklace, I love how each piece is unique and no two are alike. Overall, I think POPBASIC is definitely on to something good -- no, GREAT!<br />
<br />
For a more detailed look at the peices, watch the three ways I styled them, and don't forget to enter <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFPCO_5GI2k&feature=c4-overview&list=UUyahrOBFEAgs3iLaV2O6H6g" target="_blank">my <span id="goog_255833539"></span>giveaway to win your own LOST micro collection from POPBASIC!<span id="goog_255833540"></span></a> Woohoo!<br />
