Future DIY?

My mom recently returned from a prolonged trip to Korea to visit her parents.  Upon her return she brought with her a whole batch o' goodies for me.  Amongst those goodies was this.  This adorable lady-like dress.  Now, my mom is usually TERRIBLE...absolutely TERRIBLE at buying things for me.  Anytime she ever buys me something (whether its clothes, bags, or even books) it usually ends up in the corner or very back of somewhere and just collects dust over time.  So good job, mum, in finally getting me something that I am not totally turned off of.

Now, while I think that this little pink frock is absolutely adorbs to DEATH, it's not totally my style.  I'm into pink--yes.  I'm into cute details--yes.  I'm into collars and cuffs--yes.  I'm into dress--absolutely.  But this for some reason is not really me.  I love my girly side, but I also have quite the tom-boyish/edgy side to me as well.  For that reason, I've been thinking about cutting this dress into a cropped sweater of sorts.  I know...I'm evil.  I am the evilest evil-do-er of them all for even THINKING about cutting this innocent pink dress.

Bah...I just can't get myself to do it.  Look how cute she is!

HELP!!

  6. I think it's lovely! Maybe putting a belt on it would change it enough? how short do you want it? or cutting the sleeves off? <3
