July: Half-Way Through the Year & The Death of Google Reader

Found this image on thenuliya's blog.  I just couldn't help myself!

OMG it's July.  It's July 2013.  It is HALF-WAY THROUGH 2013.  *panic*....what have I been doing all year?!  Today, the reality of TIME has hit me in the face.

I don't even want to think about the resolutions and goals I had set out for myself back in January, but now I am FORCED to look.  Am I the only one freaking out here?? LOL.  I need to calm des fuzz down.  Derp.

Anyway, on another note: Bloggers everywhere be calm!  There is no need to panic about the disappearance of Google Friend Connect.  This has been a long-time rumour circulating in the blogosphere.  It is true, that as of July 1st Google Reader is no more.  But keep in mind that your Blogger Reader and Google Friend Connect are separate from Google Reader.  Check out your blogger dashboards; all of the blogs you follow are still there.  Check out the widgets in your sidebar, and the comforting little faces of Google Friend Connect remain!  Phew!

If you were a user of Google Reader (I'm not a Google+ user, so I won't miss it), then you can always import all of the blogs you follow into your bloglovin' account and follow them all via Bloglovin'.  Here are two helpful ways to do so:

  2. I will follow you through Bloglovin too because I don't think I've done that yet ;)

Hoping you will do the same :) Still I don't know what I'm missing without reader really...
I can still see my feed when I just go the blogger site so I don't really understand what it means for us bloggers.

Just uploaded a post new and would love to know your opinion!

    Have a great day :D

    1. Thanks Janice! You have a great blog! I think the reason why Google got rid of Google Reader is because..well, I don't think anyone was using it LOL. I mean, listen to us bloggers...we don't even know what it was! lol. I guess it makes a difference if you are a Google+ user, but Blogger has it's own blog reader, so it doesn't really affect us :).
