Trend I'm recently LOVING? The statement necklace. I've never really been 'in' to necklaces. I think this is partly due to my laziness and lack of effort in looking like a beeYOOOOOtiful princess 24/7, and also due to the fact that I've always found necklaces to be kind of annoying and in-the-way all the time. This was, until I discovered the beauty of short dainty necklaces. A couple months ago I ordered a BUNCH of smaller dainty necklaces from Forever21, and I haven't been able to stop wearing them. Now that the weather is getting warmer -- and I'm getting braver with the way I adorn by neck-space -- I've started to become QUITE intrigued by the statement necklace.

I was OVER THE MOON when Little Black Bag released a slew of gorgeous statement necklaces this week! What better way to experiment with this trend then to trade without having to invest any serious cash?? Needless to say, I traded my butt off and got some supes cute pieces! I've been pining for a stone statement necklace for a while, so I'm excited to wear this pink All The Rage one this Spring! I'm just hoping the one I get doesn't have a run-away stone (see far right).

I've been seeing cute triangle statement necklaces EVERYWHERE, and have been so obviously wanting one. I love how this one has a cute black & white print! Very on-trend for Spring 2013!

It was love at first sight when I saw this scalloped necklace. Look at her! I am pretty excited to dress this up with a cute dress, or down with a plain white tee!

Unlike the others, this chain necklace is a longer statement piece. I was pretty unsure of it at first because I tend to find longer necklaces annoying (visualize bending down and banging it on EVER-FRICKIN-THING IN SIGHT), but I couldn't help but fall more and more in love with the pretty multi-coloured stones! I'm planning on pairing this with a DIY white muscle tee and some denim skinnies or shorts....mmmmm.

The last necklace isn't exactly a statement piece, but I couldn't help but include it because I am still going through my dainty-necklace-obsession. The evil eye, however, is definitely a bold statement. I say this because it is such a conversation starter. Everyone has a bit of an opinion about the evil eye. I liked the last Spring Street Evil Eye Necklace that LBB released a few months ago, but to be quite honest the literal eye shape of it irked me a bit. When I saw this one I had to have it because it's not quite your typical evil eye. I mean, is it an eye? Or a boob? Am I right? Hehe...
