Ombre Nails!

Before I go on about what my nails look like right now, I wanted to show you all what they looked like before:

Last week I attempted to do stained glass nails using some pretty pastel polishes.  As you can tell, it ended up looking like a bit of a mess, which is why I never posted it!  That, and also because the photo quality and lighting is absolutely horrid.

Anyway, here are my nails now!...

I tried doing ombre nails yesterday, and I think they turned out pretty well.  They actually look more ombre in real life than they do in these pictures.  Oh, the terrible lighting in my room =P.  I used Shine Plus Nail in numbers 13 and 42 by Organic Farm International.  My mom brought these back from Korea with her a couple weeks ago.  They go on so smooth, and they are rather thin which is great for building up colour when you're trying to get an ombre effect!  I also applied loads of topcoat afterwards because I love it so much and I never want it to chip away!!

I feel like eating a cupcake...

    1. Thanks so much for following back! =).
I just painted random sections of each nail with the polish brush, and then when it was all dry, and drew the white lines with a nail polish pen...wish I had done it all with a steadier hand though!

  10. Nice! Some people I know apply the top color with a sponge, in order to make it more blendy/ombre-ish, but that is wayyy beyond my nail polish skills...ha.

    1. Haha, that does sound like a lot of work. If it goes beyond the regular polish brush or a nail polish pen...then it's just too much trouble for me haha.
