Fall Style & Life Updates!

Hey Dandies!  It's been a while -- I know.  But guess what?  I'M MOVING!  I feel like moving has become an annual pain in the butt since I graduated University, but that's life of a post-grad that lives in rentals I guess.

I'm not leaving the city.  And I'm not leaving my job.  I'm just slowly (painfully slowly) moving up a little bit in the world of young-adulthood-ness.  I'm moving into an apartment just up the street with more closet space and a balcony -- SWOOOON!

For those young professionals and recent graduates, let me tell you the truth about life:  when you graduate (unless your parents gave birth to you on a golden platter and then shoved a silver spoon in your mouth) you are POOR.  Like, so painfully broke.  One could call it 'poverty-stricken' if they wanted to get dramatic (and I DO get dramatic).  Picture this:  You're eager for your first REAL job, but all you can get is minimum wage retail positions, you're burdened with student debt, and -oh- you want to live on your own?  Big City = Big Rent for a tiny cupboard-like apartment.

Anyway, this past year I've been living in said 'tiny cupboard-like apartment'.  And, though it's been a cute time, I have been suffering.  I didn't have enough room to get a desk, so sitting down to get in a REAL mood to write and blog has been difficult this past year.  I'm not really a bed-typer.  And don't even get me started on what the closet space has been like.  Oh, and what air conditioning?  I felt like krissychula every damn night.

Needless to say, I am SO excited to move.  If you follow me on Pinterest, you'll notice how obsessed I've been with 'Decor Ideas' and 'Home DIYs'...omg...so...darned...excited!!  I mentioned in my last post that I'm starting to venture into YouTube land.  I think in addition to styling videos, I might start doing some home decor videos, too!  I have all of these elaborate decor ideas in my head, and I don't want to get lazy and stop myself from actually doing them; I finally want to have a home that feels like a HOME; a space that I want to live in.  Documenting my decor ventures and uploading it to YouTube might just be the thing I need to keep me on track and motivated!  NEVER STOP CREATING!

In other news, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is back at Starbucks.  This only means one thing: Fall is upon us.  I've never been more excited for fall style.  You didn't think I would deprive you completely of any style-related content did you?  Here are some of the looks I am completely taken by for Fall 2013.

5 Looks for Fall 2013

1. Grunge.  I've always loved this bad-ass look.  According to style reports, looking like a bad-ass is back in for Fall, but then again was it ever 'out'?  Looking cool...is always cool.  I'm on the hunt for a new pair of seriously bad-ass combat boots!  Should I say it again?  Bad.  Ass.  (..how dare I.)

2.  Cardigans.  CARDIGANS.  You know that naked feeling a turtle has when they're without their shell?  Neither do I, but I imagine it's the same feeling I feel when I am without Cardigan.  So excited to take my warm layers out of hiding!

3.  This Look.  Everything about it.  It is the perfect transitional outfit.  It's warm, it's cool - it's everything.  Cropped pants, dolman sleeves and scarves.  I'm in.

4. Emma Stone.  I just, like, love her --okay?!  But basically: great fitting dark skinnies, flats, and the perfect mid-length jacket.  So simple.  So effortlessly put-together.  Do it.

5. Black.  Despite the 'black and white trend' this past summer, a solid black and grey monochrome will be acceptable again.  Want to wear 'all-black-everything' and give off a little bit of an Angelina Jolie vibe?  Acceptable.

What looks are you excited to wear for Fall 2013?  And let me know if you've moved recently!  Any decor ideas?  Moving tips?  Leave comments please! :)

  1. Haha I'm going to check out the 3.1 and target collab but I'm not too sure if I'll pick anything up. Maybe the bag because i hear it's cheap and it'll make a good sized bag for work :P haha my work bag should retire soon. Are you going to check it out this sunday?

Loveee the "cool" look haha! I've always been trying to find the "perfect" tee but the ones I find are soooo expensive.. I guess because it's so soft but if you do come across the perfect tee, let me know!!!

  4. Like the outfits. Right now I'm wearing a lot of black so I might soften it up with a new parka or some light jeans. Definitely like your style!

  6. For occasion, this win above was on a “Jacks or Better” that wasn’t actually Jacks or Better, but Bonus Poker Deluxe. I didn’t thoughts outcome of|as a result of} my dealt 4 of a sort paid four hundred credits as a substitute of 125 for Jacks or Better, yielding me $1,000 on this $12.50 wager. It’s commonplace to get a third to half your a reimbursement on a poor 바카라사이트 beginning hand. I’ve at all times been into Video Poker, and discover it enjoyable to play.
