Stripes and Bright Lips

Before I throw the typical jumble of non-sensical words at your face, I just have to mention that the gracious and giving Mother Nature pooped on us again today.  It snowed.  It hailed.  It rained.  There was slush everywhere.  It sucked.  Now, we can move on...
Despite what I just said about how much the weather CRAPPED on us today, it IS technically "Spring" here in Toronto.  Since the weather has been getting better (again, despite today's Armageddon of ice), the Boyf and I have been able to take to the streets again with his camera!  *Yay*
Anyway, I have been OBSESSING over two trends for Spring 2013: Black & White and Bright Matte Lips!  The particular lippy worn above is indeed the same as the one I'm wearing in my previous post.  It is a Joe Fresh matte lipstick in Melon.  You can pick up Joe Fresh cosmetics at your local Loblaws (if you're in Ontario).  I'm not sure if the clothing stores actually carry the cosmetics; I think some do, and some don't.  Definitely check out these matte lipsticks though because they are great quality and only $6 a pop!
Jacket: UGIZ Korea  ||  Striped T: American Apparel  ||  Zippered Skinnies: Forever21  ||  Bag: Little Black Bag

These are my beaten up and dirty shearling-lined TOMS.  The Boyf actually got these for me last Spring.  Love 'em!

Hope you all had a wonderful Thursday!  And if you didn't...well, at least it's Friday tomorrow =).

Go To Outfit Part II

Hello Lovelies!  As promised, I'm posting the remaining photos from my "Go-To Outfit" shoot.  Same exact outfit, different bag.  I noticed that I hadn't really featured this bag on my blog since getting it (aside from in this video).  If you follow me on Instagram then you may have seen it a couple times, but I guess I just never got around to doing an outfit shoot with it.

My Go To Outfit: Oversized Blouse + Oversized Cardigan + Leggings Part 1

Everyone has a "go to" outfit.  The fail safe plan.  The never-gets-old trick-in-the-book.  And as the seasons change, so does this equation (well, at least in colour and texture).  If you saw my very first style video, or you've been following my blog for a while, you'll know that I always reach for an oversized fit on top with a slimmer fit for bottoms (unless it's summer, which is when I opt for tres short shorts).

Fall Florals III

Finally an end to my floral-with-everything crusade.  You're all sick of it by now, I'm sure.  I wore this outfit a couple of weekends ago, and it was the perfect mix of some-what studious and terribly cute.  If I were still a student, I would wear this to class!  *sigh*  Sometimes I think about high school and university and what I wore back then.  These spurts of reminiscing usually end with a bad taste in my mouth.  I have always had an interest in clothes and fashion, but growing up my parents never had the money to buy me anything.  I always got *crappy* hand-me-downs from my older sisters.  When I did start to make my own money when I was 15, I shopped at the ever popular American Eagle (grooooooan).  Nearing the end of highschool and for the entirety of university I went through a weird emo-alternative-skater-indie phase.  This involved buddy holly glasses, studded belts, graphic tees, hoodies, beanies, skinny jeans and Vans -- all the while oggling at fashion magazines at Chapter's for hours.

Flowers in the Fall II

As promised, my crusade of wearing florals for what remains of Fall continues!  Last weekend (after surviving the leftovers of Hurricane Sandy) my boyfriend and I took a walk to a nearby park.  Everything -- and I mean EVERYTHING, was covered with leaves.  The windy weather seems to have blown all the leaves to the ground quite early, and theres nothing but naked trees till the snow starts to fall here in Toronto.

thelittledandy + firmoo

Hey All!  First off, sorry for the looooong awaited post!  I've been pretty busy, but I'll elaborate on that later.  Right now I really want to tell you all about my sweet new shades!

A while ago I received an email from Firmoo asking if I would be interested in a free pair of glasses to review on my blog.  I said:  MOST DEF!!

Anyway, the rest of the story is below..enjoy!

Do It Yourself, Darling!

Hello Darlings!  It's finally that time...my DIY post is ready for reveal!  I'm sorry it took so long, but the process took forever because I had to hand-sew everything as I don't have a sewing machine (just a terrible hand-held which kind of sucks).  That being said...get ready for it...because this post is going to be very image HEAVY.  I hope you still enjoy it though!

Do you have a pair of pants that are RUINED at the bottoms, or that are too long?  I did...

The Little Dandy Shop?

Sorry I haven't posted a DIY! I was going to get started on one last night, but instead I ended up just cleaning my room and discovering a bunch of stuff that I ought to get rid of! I took loads of photos because there is just SO MUCH!  Ideally, I'd like to have a garage sale, but there's just too much hassle and time constraint involved with that, so I've decided to sell some of my things online (using Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji and Craigslist).

I apologize that these photos are so terrible.  To be quite honest, I wasn't spending a lot of time on the photos I was taking today because I just thought I'd be posting them on marketplace websites.  However, I did choose what I thought were the best ones to post here!  So anyway, this was what my day was filled with today...a random at-home photoshoot of used things I'd like to sell as I am strapped for cash haha.  Unfortunately I am only selling things locally right now =(.  BUT!! If you are in the London, Ontario, Canada area, shoot me an e-mail and we'll talk!

HOWEVER!  Soon I am hoping to be selling things internationally =).  Vintage finds, prints of my illustrations and DIYs are things that I am hoping to sell quite soon!  Keep your pretty eyes out for my coming Etsy shop!

Headband and other things.

I couldn't post my outfit from yesterday because I had a splitting headache when I got home so I just went straight to bed!  This is also the only photo I took of what I was wearing =(.
  • Heather headband - Club Monaco
  • Fisherman's Pullover in Black - American Apparel
  • Winter Leggings in Black - American Apparel
Pretty boring stuff.  All black.  Very warm.  Very cozy.  It was pretty cold yesterday!  Not to mention the snow!  However, today it has finally been getting warmer.  Tomorrow it's supposed to be 12degrees (celsius!).  Very exciting stuff :).

Today was my one year anniversary with my boyfriend =).  I didn't have much time to take photos of what I was wearing today either, but it was nothing too exciting.  I did, however, find a photo on my phone of basically the exact same outfit which I wore months ago, haha.  So here it is:

  • Dark denim twist scarf - street shopping in S. Korea (approx. $1CAD)
  • Tiger sweatshirt - street shopping in S. Korea (approx. $10CAD)
  • Dark denim skinny jeans - H&M ($25CAD)
  • Pink sneakers - thrifted at Talize ($6CAD)

I also did a little bit of bargain shopping this weekend! =)

I got these jeans on sale at Joe Fresh for only $20CAD!  I needed a new pair of light denim for the warmer seasons to come, so...YAY!! =).  The shoes in the picture are vintage, I'll be doing a post about some recent vintage finds later on.

Anyway, thank you for leaving such wonderful comments everyone!  And hello to all of my lovely new followers!

Lazy Sunday

I had a super relaxed Sunday, which you can tell by my outfit.  My boyfriend and I lazed around and ate and watched TV all day =).  It was nice.  I wore...
  • Patterned sweatshirt - street shopping in S.Korea (only approx. $7CAD!!)
  • Skinny jeans - forever21 (if I remember correctly, these were only $12CAD or so).
  • Leather penny loafers - B2 (Browns)
  • Gold calculator watch - Casio (from American Apparel)
Nothing to fancy today.  Oh, and I didn't actually wear the loafers out--I just wish I did, hah!  It's been snowing like crazy all day!!  Oh, Canada when will you give us some warmth?!  Hope everyone has had a relaxing weekend!
